Company

Built by someone who was the customer, three times.

Prism Labs is a North Dakota LLC with one founder, a desktop app, products built on one engine and a hardware division. It is raising its first round.

Who is building this

Aditya Goyal

  • As a university inventorI filed a patent and saw how hard it is to find what already exists. That is Patent Intelligence, now being rebuilt on a new patent database.
  • As an I-Corps founderI went through the programme myself. Offices like it track teams like mine by hand. That is the I-Corps pipeline.
  • As an environmental scientistMy research lives on messy public environmental data. That is Prism Microclimate.

The journey

From one ocean problem to one engine for any field.

Every step left something behind that Prism Labs runs on today.

  1. OceanSentinel, at the NDSU Possibility Fellowship

It began at sea: AI and drones that find plastic in the ocean and collect it on their own.

TodayPrism X: machines that work on their own and report what they find
  2. EcoGrow, a gener8tor North Dakota finalist

EcoGrow used our provisionally patented NDSU technology to clean algae from rivers and lakes and turn what it captured into sustainable fertilizer. It reached the finals of the gener8tor North Dakota accelerator.

The technology behind it, in the founder's op-ed for Human Progress, November 2025

  3. ILT Academy: OceanSentinel becomes WeSentinels

North Dakota has no ocean, and it needed answers at home. One idea became a family: Blue Sentinel for water, Green for farms and forests, Brown for soil, Black for oil spills and runoff, Teal for coral reefs, with air, wildfire and hazardous waste next.

  4. NSF I-Corps, Great Plains regional: WeSentinels becomes CleanSentinels

WeSentinels went through I-Corps and came out as CleanSentinels. The lesson stuck: talk to the people with the problem before building anything.

TodayThe I-Corps pipeline we now run for a programme like it
  5. gBETA Fargo, with EcoGrow

EcoGrow went through gBETA Fargo from the fall to December 2025, with a lot of customer discovery on the way: talk to the people who would use it, then build.

  6. An NSF GROW award for AgriVision

AgriVision, the technology behind Green Sentinel, won an NSF GROW award. It is now integrated into Prism X.

  7. Forge Propulsions: the engine meets physics

We pointed the same engine at rocket nozzles: shapes worked out from physics and geometry, then 3D printed.

TodayPrism Sim: the simulation and physics we build in house
  8. Innovate ND finalist

CleanSentinels was named a finalist in Innovate ND.

  9. Harvard Business School Foundry: back to the engine

Nominated by the NDSU Research Foundation. The bootcamp pushed us to strip away the environmental layer and keep what was underneath: a raw engine that could serve any field.

  10. gener8tor North Dakota finalist, and an op-ed

CleanSentinels, mid-transition, reached the gener8tor North Dakota finals, and the founder's op-ed behind it, submitted to Human Progress, was published there.

  11. Environmental audits, then 9.8 million patents

The first audits worked, but people called it a chatbot wrapper. So we gave the engine a job no wrapper can do: 9.8 million US patents and 109 million claims. That work became Patent Intelligence, now being rebuilt on a new patent database.

  13. Talking at Startup Brew

We shared the Prism Labs story, from ocean drones to one engine for any field, with the region's startup community at Startup Brew.

  17. Prism Desktop's first public builds

The workspace where people and AI agents from any vendor work in the same room shipped its first public builds for Linux, with signed automatic updates. Twenty-five more releases followed in September.

  18. The product line goes live

prismlabs.solutions launched with the full product line on 21 September. Prism Microclimate moved to its own address and Prism X opened Prism Sim on the 26th, Prism Map Studio opened on the 27th and the Crop Lab on the 28th: four products open to anyone in the browser.

  19. Claude Founder House, at SF Tech Week

Selected to attend Claude Founder House in San Francisco, hosted by Anthropic during SF Tech Week. The best part was the founders: hearing what they are building, sharing what we are building at Prism Labs, and testing our assumptions in conversation. It showed that the needs we work on resonate well beyond North Dakota.

Prism Labs

One workspace. Any AI. Your data. The workspace where people and AI agents from any vendor work together, the engine underneath, and the products built on it.

Integrated into Prism Labs

CleanSentinels: finding environmental change in the images we already collect.

CleanSentinels is the founder's environmental-intelligence platform, launched in Fargo, North Dakota in 2025 and a finalist in Innovate ND for Spring 2026: AI that helps people examine satellite, drone and ground imagery for signs of water pollution, forest loss, soil degradation, oil spills and reef stress, so an investigation has a better place to begin. It was integrated into Prism Labs and ultimately became Prism X, which takes the same question, giving the planet eyes to see, into the field.
